I’ve been making a lot of lists lately. Wish lists, to do lists, not to do lists. My wish lists are getting simpler. They’ve really narrowed down to focus on my interests. Gone are the ambitions of making it in the campaign world, now my biggest ambition is to go back to school and get my master’s degree that will enable me to get a decent job so that I’ll be able to support myself and my hobbies. I think making lists is a very good idea. It keeps me organized and on task. Usually if I don’t plan things out in advance nothing good comes of anything. So what exactly do these lists encompass. Well, the first list I started making was of the remaining equipment I need to be fully outfitted to start making camping trips all on my lonesome. There really isn’t a whole lot that I need for that. The next list I started making is also modest (although not in price). This list is of the few pieces of camera equipment I’d like to get so I can maybe get better in that hobby. Most recently I’ve started a list of things I’d either like to learn to do or pick back up. Most notable on the list are kayaking and shooting. I know the basics of paddling in a canoe, but I’ve never been in a kayak, I’ve always wanted to learn, but have never been in a position to. Now shooting, I haven’t been shooting in years, but it’s not something you forget how to do. However I’d like to expand beyond target shooting and learn sporting shooting, you know, trap and skeet. Target shooting is a great stress reliever.
We’ll see what happens with these lists. Hopefully I can start ticking items off soon.
