While I still have yet to get my 5 rolls of film developed that I took while in Rodanthe with my family I do have a few photos I’m quite proud of that I took with the point and shoot.
So in the past month or so I’ve started taking my dog to one of the two dog parks in my county (Yay Knox County!!), and I’ve discovered something quite shocking: I have a retriever who doesn’t retrieve. He used to be very good at it. I don’t know what’s happened. He’s lost all interest in it, that is unless he has some competition, but even then he chases the ball and then either doesn’t pick it up, or picks it up and then drops it a few feet later. I don’t know why this is the case. I mean I have a good idea why he’s afraid of water. When I first adopted him the night I brought him home he bolted when I started to fill his water bowl with the spray hose on the sink. My thinking is that he was likely sprayed with water by the children in the family he was owned by before me and it was done maliciously. I just wish he’d retrieve the ball like he used to. Is that too much to ask?
